Obama

What You Need to Know - Tuesday, May 21, 2013

My Thoughts for the Day:

1. ObamaCare's Big troubles.  Big Labor finally comes out in force to say what Republicans have said all along - Obamacare makes it practically impossible to keep your own healthcare coverage.  The question is whether Big Labor will demand big changes that Democrats won't be able to resist.

2. Drip Drip.  Anyone who thinks we are near the bottom of the information barrel on the IRS, Benghazi or press targeting stories is kidding themselves.  There is much to come and it is far more likely it will be damaging than exonerating.

My Latest in Forbes: Obama: The Anti-Capital President/It is becoming increasingly hard to imagine a President who could be more anti-private sector. That is in large part because Obama is anti-capital formation – the latest expression of which took the form of his desire to cap retirement savings deductions.

My Thoughts For Today:

#1 In the Top Story - Republicans vow to get to the bottom of Benghazi - given the nature of what occurred, it's good to see Republicans fighting on - Democrats are used to Republicans walking away from controversies over fear of backlash.

#2 Dems are so fiscally irresponsible that even a motion for a balanced budget is too much for them.

#3 CA voters are turning on big spending Sacramento projects such as the water bond and high speed rail - what will they do when the Dems want a tax increase for public employee pensions?

My Thought For Today - Common Sense & Taxes

By Tom Del Beccaro, on Sep 8, 2012

Pls share- It's Common Sense these laws of economics: The more something costs, the less of it you get or is sold. Less expensive cars generally outsell more expense cars - More Fords/less Porsches. That applies to all things: drapes, food, JOBS & INCOME.

The higher the cost to hire, i.e. excessive workers comp costs, generally the less hiring is done.

Why Obama's envy campaign will not work

"Why Obama's envy campaign will not work" -  by Thomas Del Beccaro, published in Human Events on 1.30.12

The politics of envy have reached center stage in America.  While it’s not surprising that Obama is using it to badger Republicans, the surprise for many is that some Republicans are using it against other Republicans.  The question of 2012 is whether Obama can ride such a divisive strategy to reelection.  In a word, the answer is no - because Obama has no plan for the future and today’s voters want a plan.

DEL BECCARO: What Solyndra should mean to conservatives

By Tom Del Beccaro, on Oct 14, 2011

Conservatives in particular should recoil at the Solyndra story. It is a tale about centralized economic planning gone awry and it is only the tip of the iceberg in President Obama’s government of czars.

Even in California, Obama Is Running Out of Excuses and Time

By Tom Del Beccaro, on Sep 14, 2011

In 2008, candidate Obama famously dodged a serious question by telling America that the question was simply “above [his] pay grade.” Three years into his Presidency, voters around the country are clearly voicing their opinion that being held accountable for the failing economy is not above his pay grade.  Even in California, perhaps America’s last bastion of liberalism, voters are finally turning on Obama.  Read the full article
